A real estate agent can expect to share 40% of their commission to their broker, in addition to office fees, administrative costs and advertising. At Bohemian Realty, we believe agents should keep 100% of their hard-earned income, so they can work with their clients in a flexible and customized manner, without the pressure of commission splits. Over the years, we have observed agents make decisions that were not in the best interests of their clients because of the broker structure. Several large, well-known brokerages also offer pyramid schemes and pressure agents to recruit others. In the end, only the brokerage wins, as agents and clients both get the short end of the stick in most of these common scenarios. We do business in the complete opposite manner. Our agents contribute a flat, monthly fee to cover the costs associated with employing agents, and we do not compensate agents for the recruitment of others. We hand-select agents who we heavily vet and determine to be extremely ethical, empathetic and passionate about real estate.
